Located in the mountains of Madrid, La Libreta was conceived around cocina de proximidad — a philosophy rooted in sustainability, traditional cooking and close relationships with local farmers and producers. Their menu reflected this commitment to local ingredients and the surrounding landscape.
I worked with José to translate his philosophy into a visual language that brought together tradition, contemporary design and a shared appreciation for detail. I designed and developed the website and contributed to the restaurant's print materials.

Illustration played a central role in expressing the character of the project. Combined with thoughtful typography, photography and generous white space, it brought warmth and personality to a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
The identity extended from the website into printed menus and practical packaging made from recycled cardboard, carrying José's philosophy into the wider dining experience.

The website is great. It captures our essence. It is elegant and clean. The elements that separate one section from another and the strong presence of photos are perfectly in line with the style we were looking for. Thanks a lot.
Jose Manuel Domenech, owner La Libreta
