Mutima is a psychosocial centre in the Democratic Republic of Congo, helping people heal from trauma and rebuild their lives.
Following a Goya Awards nomination for a documentary about Mutima’s work, the organisation needed a website ready in time for the awards. Working to a tight deadline, I designed and developed a digital home where people could discover Mutima, understand its mission and learn more about its work.

Mutima’s work is rooted in the belief that love, care and a sense of safety can help people heal and communities grow stronger.
I wanted the website to reflect that spirit through a visual language that felt warm, joyful and full of life. Inspired by African textiles and patterns, I created a series of bespoke backgrounds that fill the experience with vibrant colours, rhythm and optimism.
Rather than taking a clinical approach to a sensitive subject, the design celebrates the humanity at the heart of Mutima’s mission.

The website was designed to give the organisation a welcoming online presence while allowing the Mutima team to manage and update its own content independently.
A clear structure brings the information together, while the colourful compositions create a distinctive setting for Mutima’s work.
