I’ve worked with Alex and the H2O team for years. They’re deeply rooted in the world of technical diving, and that expertise is one of H2O’s biggest strengths. The team also organised the support operation for Ahmed Gabr’s record-breaking dive in Dahab in 2014, when he reached 332.35 metres to set the Guinness World Record for the deepest scuba dive.
For the website, I built on that identity with a dark, bold and almost brutalist design. Strong typography, a stripped-back layout and a focus on content gave H2O a visual style that feels as direct and technically minded as the diving they specialise in.

Then came the T-shirts. Alex loves the weird and wonderful side of diving, and she gave me plenty of creative freedom to turn that into designs. As a diver myself, I got to play with the nerdier side of the sport and make tees I’d happily wear, too.
Over the years, I’ve designed quite a few for H2O, mostly for their tech-diving crowd. From the Dalton diamond to the unmistakable silhouette of H2O’s house reef, they’re packed with references that mean the world to tech divers. And they turned out to be a real hit.

Direct, straightforward. The website is exactly who we are - no bullshit, just diving. And of course, black. Black is the best.
